XenoHost reads MAMP PRO’s sites and databases and brings them across. It never changes MAMP PRO’s own files or data, so you can keep MAMP until you’re sure.
What comes across
- Sites, each with its exact PHP version. If XenoHost doesn’t have that exact version, it uses the nearest newer one it has.
- Your whole MySQL server, as an APFS clone of MAMP’s data folder. The clone is instant and takes no extra space until something changes, and MAMP’s copy stays untouched.
Run both side by side
MAMP PRO and XenoHost can’t both use ports 80, 443 and 3306. Choose the alongside MAMP port preset in XenoHost to use 8080, 8443 and 3307 instead. Remember that URLs then need the port, for example https://mysite.local:8443, on your iPhone too.
Choose the alongside ports
In XenoHost’s port settings, pick the preset for running alongside MAMP PRO and Save.
Import
Start the MAMP PRO import and choose the sites to bring over. Review the preview and Save.
Compare
Open each site on XenoHost’s ports and check it behaves the same.
Switch to the standard ports
Quit MAMP PRO, then choose the standard preset (80, 443 and 3306). The change is one transaction: XenoHost checks the ports are free, rewrites the config, reloads and checks every site, and rolls back if anything fails.
Changing the MySQL port? Sites whose .env sets DB_PORT need the new port too.
From the command line
xenohost import <folder> brings over the MAMP PRO site served from that folder, and xenohost ports set --alongside-mamp or --standard switches the port preset. Add --dry-run to see what would change first.
