BetaLatestBuild 3MenuSearch 1.0 is the first release. Press ⌥Space or click the magnifying glass in the menu bar to find apps and files, do quick math, or jump to the web, all from one small search field.

- Apps and files: results come straight from the Spotlight index as you type. Matching is case- and accent-insensitive and works at word starts, so
chrfinds Google Chrome. Return opens the selected result; ⌘Return reveals it in Finder. - Live calculator: type a sum like
12% of 340orsqrt(2) * piand the answer shows as you type. Return or ⌘C copies it. Supportsmod,!, degrees,pi,e,tau, trig, logs and rounding functions. - Web fallback: type a domain like
apple.comto open it, or search Google for anything else. - Escape clears the field, and a second Escape closes it.
- Right-click the menu bar icon to turn on Open at Login, or to see whether another app already uses ⌥Space.
