1.0.0
BetaLatestBuild 18Retitle 1.0 is a native Apple silicon subtitle editor and converter for SRT, SSA/ASS and WebVTT, with on-device OCR for Blu-ray and DVD image subtitles. It's the companion to Rewrap.
- Edit subtitles. A cue table with a line editor, spelling warnings, find and replace, and undo. Opens files in any common text encoding and saves in the one you choose.
- Timing. Shift times, change the frame rate, synchronize to two points, and fix overlaps and bad durations in one go.
- Clean up and convert. Strip formatting and hearing-impaired notes, edit SSA/ASS styles, and convert or export between SRT, SSA, ASS and WebVTT.
- Image subtitles to text. Open PGS (.sup) and VobSub (.idx/.sub) subtitles, or import them from MKV, MP4 and M2TS videos, then turn them into text with on-device recognition and review what needs a look.
- Preview. See a subtitle drawn on the video frame for any video, or play MP4 and MOV files with the subtitles over them.
- Works with Rewrap. Send subtitles and their video to Rewrap, and open Rewrap's subtitle tracks in Retitle.
- Free trial and licenses. Retitle is free to try for 14 days with every feature. After that, changing subtitles needs a license key, entered in Retitle → License…; opening, previewing, saving and exporting always work.
- Automatic updates. Retitle looks for a new version when it comes forward, at most once a day, and Retitle → Check for Updates… looks right away.
